Since the first of this year, Docujournal Nashville has been posting some fantastic short films — they're on the Internet, but they feel like short films, as opposed to videos, for whatever that bit of analysis is worth. (Maybe I've just drunk the Kool-Aid, since their tagline reads, "A new documentary series turning Nashville's community news into relevant cinema.") In any case, artfully shot black-and-white mini-docs include looks at Occupy Nashville, The Contributor and, embedded above, the wrestler known to fans at Stadium Inn as Jocephus. You might recognize him as one of the stars of Lambchop's video for "Gone Tomorrow," also shot on location at the Inn. Not a whole lot of information about this project's creators, the so-called Moving Picture Boys — a Twitter here, a Facebook there — but they're off to a very auspicious start.
