Sue Gazell, manager: "People just say they're really good. I'd say they're more popular with the 20s, but some of the older people get them too."
Bookseller: Mysteries & More (6965 Sunnywood Drive, Lenox Village)
Book: Flipped Out, by Jennie Bentley (Berkley, $7.99).
Greg Bruss, co-owner: "We have several local authors who do well. One of them is Jennie Bentley, whose new book Wall to Wall Dead is coming out in September. She'll be doing a signing here a few days before it comes out. The series takes place in Maine, and it's about a person with a boyfriend who's a handyman — the titles are all about fixing up houses. We have a market for everything from 'cozy' and British to the darker, Stephen King-type mystery. This is more of a cozy — it's well written, and it won't scare the daylights out of you."
Bookseller: Rhino Books (several locations, including 4918 Charlotte Ave.)
Book: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, by John le Carré (Penguin, $16)
Fred Koller, owner: "It's the movie tie-in. We didn't get that kind of bump from The Help, but every copy of Tinker Tailor goes right back out the door."
