Lesley Patterson-Marx has the kind of stuff that makes me wish I had a bigger house and the ability to keep things organized. She makes prints, books and collages, but she also has extensive collections of ephemera — from vintage wallpaper to QSL cards — and she helps run Platetone Printshop on Charlotte Pike.
Last Friday, she and her assistant were at her home studio, filing through some vintage photographs that are going to be part of an upcoming project. In between gawking at the Kurt Wagner painting in her living room and her amazing mid-century decor, I took some photographs of her studio space.
Gawk for yourself after the jump.

I love those crowd photos — the more you look at them, the more each face seems Photoshopped in among the others, as if the subjects still managed to assert some individuality.
Is the hat an original Abraham Patterson-Marx?
The hat is an Abraham original and only Laura "eagle eye" Hutson could find the smiley face on a tennis racket that tiny.
I'm inspired just looking at these pics! Lester, I am so proud of you. Your work is amazing.
