A couple weeks ago I visited Tennessee's capital city for a quick photo shoot—make sure to check it out in Glamour's upcoming March issue! Nashville has perfected the balance between music, style, and Southern charm. After 36 hours in Music City, I was smitten.
Glamour being ostensibly a fashion magazine and all, it's not surprising that Imogene + Willie ("the much-talked-about denim specialists") and Goodbuy Girls ("an amazing vintage selection" of cowboy boots) get some well-deserved attention. But our food gets some mention, too, including Jack's, Las Paletas and the one place every single out-of-town outlet seems to make a point of visiting — be they Nylon, Rolling Stone, Travel + Leisure or the aforementioned Bon Appetit — Mas Tacos, the East Nashville taqueria. (Side note: I love that Wang refers to East Nashville as the "East End.")
Are we becoming known as a taco-and-denim town? A vintage-boots-and-barbecue town? A kombucha-and-chocolate town? Guess we'll just wait until March to see how this shoot turned out.
