Don't Let Brew at the Zoo Happen Without You

Posted By on Fri, May 23, 2014 at 8:21 AM

Y'all are slacking on me. How has this year's Brew at the Zoo not sold out yet in advance like in previous years? Not only is the May 30 event a big fundraiser for the Nashville Zoo, but it is a damn fine beer festival in its own right.

For just $60, patrons will have access to unlimited samples of more than 100 craft beers from 43 local and regional breweries plus a commemorative tasting glass, free water(!), parking and a free shuttle to and from the zoo from both ML Rose locations, Five Points in East Nashville, Riverfront Park and the Target store in Smyrna.

The 21+ event runs from 6:30 to 11 p.m., and the animal exhibits will be open until sundown with keepers available to answer guests’ questions. Other activities for the evening include an animal show and live music. For additional fees guests can also enjoy dinner from local food trucks favorites, rides on the Wild Animal Carousel and an exciting trip through the DinoTrek exhibit. There's even an afterparty at ML Rose where you can receive a free order of six chicken wings just for showing them your ticket or wristband from Brew at the Zoo.

So what's a guy have to do to get you all riled up and excited about this event so you'll go snag the few remaining tickets? Should I point out that Nashville's craft beer and brewery scene kicks Memphis' butt? Because it does.
