Musicians Corner this Saturday will also be where Retro Sno, the snoball food truck will have its 2nd birthday party. The first order of business will be to announce the winner of the contest they're holding (until Friday, May 2) to name their second food truck. Submit your entry via Twitter, Facebook and/or Instagram using the hashtag #RetroTurns2. Their first food truck is named Razz (after their most popular flavor, raspberry wedding cake) and they're looking for a name that will complement it or be just as "sweet." The new truck and its name will be revealed at the "RetroTurns2 Bday Bash" and the winner of the contest will receive a season pass for Retro Snoballs, a snoball a day for the rest of the 2014 season (any day the truck is out this summer and fall).
The birthday festivities include promotions, giveaways, and free facepainting. Customers can get 2-for-1 snoballs for wearing their RetroSno t-shirt or tank (even if you buy it on the spot) or for having your favorite snoball painted on your face. Loyalty club members get double punches that day, too and anyone who buys a snoball will get a free RetroSno bumper sticker. They'll also be selling their snoball season passes starting Saturday and just for two weeks or until they sell out.
This weekend, Centennial Park is also the location of the spring Tennessee Craft Fair (formerly known as TACA). The craft fair generally takes place closer to the Parthenon; Musicians Corner takes place in the shady corner at the front of the park. The weather forecast looks good, too, so there are lots of reasons to get out and enjoy the park.
