The Local Taco, the popular local chain, plans to launch its third Nashville-area location, co-owner John Ko says. The company is staking out restaurant space in the mixed-use 1100 Fatherland development.

The new cafe at the intersection of Fatherland and 11th streets will have a full bar and garage doors that roll up in nice weather, along with a patio.

"We're excited about being in East Nashville tucked away in a great neighborhood a few blocks away from Five Points," Ko said. "We're also excited about the mix of tenants coming to 1100 Fatherland which will each complement each other and be a great addition to the neighborhood."

The team hopes to open in July. The first Local Taco opened in 2009 on Murphy Road in Sylvan Park. Since then the company has added locations in Brentwood; Lexington, Ky.; Greenville, S.C., and Asheville, N.C.
