As sponsors of the event, the Nashville Food Truck Association is having a food truck festival beginning at noon with nearly 30 food trucks participating. Here's the list (which is subject to change:
Riffs Fine Street Food, Grilled Cheeserie, Smoke Et Al, Hoss Loaded Burgers, Crepe-A-Diem, Deg Thai, Delta Bound, Just Like Nannie Fixed it, Two Guys in a Lunch Box, Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream, Jonbalaya, Music City Pie Co., Wrapper's Delight, Pazze Italiano, Slow Hand Coffee, Sum Yum Yum, Smokin' Thighs, The Mobile Chef, The Rolling Feast, Yayo's OMG, Mean Green Ice Cream Machine, Bradley's Curbside Creamery, Beach Bum Juice, Trailer Perk, Slow Hand Coffee Co., Loco Donuts, Doughworks, Retro Sno and Julia's Bakery.
Sounds like there's definitely something for everyone. The food trucks will start serving at noon, and in addition to food truck fare, there’s a beer and wine garden for the grown-ups.
And this is a family-friendly event; kids are welcome (as are dogs). Kidsville activities — which change each week —will include a hands-on musical experience presented by Vanderbilt’s Blair School of Music, an appearance by WSMV’s Snowbird, face-painting, crafts and more, all starting at noon.
Be sure to bring chairs, blankets, water, snacks and whatever else you need to get comfy to enjoy the afternoon.
Free parking is available around Centennial Park as well as the HCA building lots along Park Plaza. Musicians Corner's fall 2013 season continues every Saturday through Oct. 26, with a special event on Sunday, Sept. 22.
