The new store is much larger than owners Chris Carter and James Peisker's original butcher shop on Gallatin in East Nashville (which also will continue to operate). The second outpost takes over the former Mrs. Winner's at 4816 Charlotte Ave., across from Richland Park.

WE ARE OFFICALLY OPENING OUR DOORS IN WEST NASHVILLE!
We are very excited to announce that we will be beginning our soft opening over at our second location at 4816 Charlotte Ave. We will now be open over there from 12-6pm on Mondays- Fridays. Come by and check out the shop, we would love to see some familiar and new faces! Today will be cash/check only.
Note: We already knew that neither location planned to operate on Sundays. Looks like the new shop also doesn't plan to be open this Saturday — we presume that Saturday hours will be added once the "soft opening" phase is over.
Also, they caution that the selection will initially be limited in the West Nashville store.
Porter Road Butcher has been a huge success in East Nashville, tapping into the market for locally grown, non-industrial pork, beef, lamb and poultry.
"We can’t do more in this space and we think Nashville wants more,” Carter told Cavendish back in May. They reached out to suppliers, letting them know that more pigs, chickens and cows would be required. “Our farmers are growing with us,” Carter added, pointing to a network of small family-run places throughout Middle Tennessee that have been Porter Road Butcher's suppliers from the beginning.
The team told Cavendish they plan to do more catering out of the Charlotte location and have a limited number of sandwiches and breakfast items available, too. Peisker said the idea will be to have food available for folks at breakfast and lunch, along with items for people to grab for a picnic across the street at Richland Park.
