Parish, who cooks at the chef-driven S.F. gourmet delivery startup The Munchery (more on how that works here), will be serving up a la carte tacos and pozole. That's the plan, anyway. The menu hadn't been finalized when I stopped in The Jam for my coffee fix the other day, but a list of possible variations alone had me more than a little intrigued. (I seem to recall coffee-chipotle rubbed chicken, a Mexican roast pork the name of which escapes me, and something about an onion-and-collard-greens taco.)
The event is BYOB, if you're into that sort of thing, and if you want carry-out, you order and pay using the ToGoOrder.com app for your iPhone or Android. A flier for the dinner promises organic and locally sourced food and, to make it even sweeter, 25 percent of proceeds will go to help some family friends offset the cost of adopting a child.
The Jam Coffeehouse is at 1210 Wedgewood Ave.
