Burger Up Celebrates Benton's? Count Me In!

In the next in their series of dinners spotlighting the purveyors that make Burger Up so successful, the 12South eatery is featuring Benton's Bacon for their Sunday Farm Supper Series this Sunday, Dec. 9, at 6:30 p.m. The menu will feature Allan Benton's Smoky Mountain Country Hams in a five-course dinner with wine pairings devised by Robin Riddell and Best Brands.

Burger Up wants Chef Philip Shyatt's menu to be a surprise, but some hints they have offered include bacon and chickpea risotto, braised pork belly with pineapple mint, and BLT dumplings. Tickets are $100 including the wines, or $75 for an alcohol-free version.

These dinners are intended to emphasize Burger Up's mantra of " thoughtful consumption and community," and promise to be great fun and full of excellent food. To purchase tickets, visit the event website.
