Along with his resident chef Rusty Hamlin, Brown has organized the Southern Ground Music and Food Festival with stops this year in Nashville and Charleston, S.C. In addition to a lineup of performers that includes Zac and his band, Alan Jackson, Sheryl Crow, Gregg Allman, Dwight Yoakam and more than 20 other musical acts, the two-day festival Sept. 21-22 will also feature all sorts of Southern food favorites for your dining pleasure.
Local food trucks and restaurants will contribute to the atmosphere at The Lawn at Riverfront Park on the Cumberland River downtown, between the Shelby Street Bridge and Korean Veterans Boulevard. Patrons can purchase one- or two-day passes with several upgrade options available to experience VIP treatment. If you buy Front Porch Stage Boxes, you'll receive onstage seating, a gourmet meal and complimentary beverages. Or, you can choose to add a VIP upgrade to your festival ticket and enjoy a comfortable tented lounge area along with complimentary food and beverages.
At last check, the Front Porch tix may be sold out, but they have been known to add extra seats prior to the performance. If you want to get the VIP deal, you need to buy a regular ticket and then purchase the upgrade here. Cool tunes, great food, lots of drinks ... sounds like a great way to spend a weekend.
