Now they've invited Los Angeles rock star chefs of Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo of Animal and Son of a Gun for the next edition of Stir the Pot on Sept. 16-17. Chefs Shook and Dotolo are known for their inventive whole-animal approach to cooking and have been featured nationally in all sorts of media.
They will cook a five-course dinner with wine pairings alongside Tyler and Tandy at Capitol Grille on Sunday Sept. 16 for $150 per person. Expect everybody to be on top of their game for that event which you can buy tickets at here. The next night, Sept. 17 the four chefs will prepare the main course at a much more casual potluck dinner at Corsair Artisan Distilling in Marathon Village. This event is only $35 per person, and guests are asked to bring a covered dish to share with the assembled crowd to accompany the met course from the master chefs.
I attended the potluck at the last Stir the Pot, and I can tell you that that table was covered with some of the best covered dishes to ever share a folding table as Nashville foodies dug deep into their personal cookbooks for their favorite recipes. No pressure. Your admission also includes a couple of drink tickets, and the laid back vibe of the potluck promises to be very entertaining. It's rare that you get the opportunity to rub shoulders with these sort of fantastic chefs, but Brown and Wilson are always convivial hosts.
Tickets will most probably sell out, so jump on it and get yours today. You'll enjoy some fantastic food and help out a very worthy cause at the same time.
