But LeQuire's work isn't all just massive installations. He also specializes in portraiture in the form of sculpture, which author Madison Smartt Bell describes as "strikingly accurate. His [Alan's] portraits combine the energy, expressiveness and apparent mobility of a quick sketch with the permanence of bronze.”
To showcase some of his portraiture work, LeQuire has presented a series of small supper clubs over the past year. August's event will be held at Miel on Thursday, Aug. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. and costs $40 per person.
The dinner will include a three-course meal, and space is limited to 32, so guests really get a chance to meet and converse with LeQuire.
Space is definitely limited and reservations are required, so if this sounds like your kind of scene, call Miel at (615) 298-3663 to hold your spot.
