Taste Makers Restaurant Crawl Through Hillsboro Village

You dont really have to crawl...
  • You don't really have to crawl...
Seven establishments in Hillsboro Village have banded together to present "Taste Makers," a restaurant crawl though the Village with each restaurant offering a tasting representing a specific country from around the world, paired with a beverage — wine, beer or cocktail. the event runs from 5 to 10 p.m. over two nights this Wednesday and Thursday, July 25-26.

The participating restaurants are Cabana, Sunset Grill, Belcourt Taps, Zumi Sushi, Bombasha, Sweet CeCe's and Provence. I, for one, am interested in the booze situation at Sweet Cece's, which could significantly alter my opinion about "pay by the pound" frozen yogurt joints.

You can buy your $20 (cash only) passport at any of the participating restaurants to receive your admission to the fun. Your passport also serves as a VIP dining card that will get you other discounts until the end of August. By the way, I'm pretty sure that this event is sponsored by our friends over at the Tennessean, but I didn't want to click over to confirm. I have to save my 30 free online article accesses per month to look at slide shows of tattoos from Bonnaroo.
