Nicki and Carrington are big fans of Chef's Market Cafe and Takeaway, so that's good enough for me. The local caterer and cafe has earned a reputation for their creative foods and dependable execution, and locals rely on them for their excellent logistics for off-site meals.
This coming weekend, Chef's Market is opening up their kitchen to an acclaimed food blogger and columnist to serve as their guest chef. No, not me. I said "acclaimed." Rhonda Marko is an events specialist and a food columnist featured twice a month in the Hendersonville Standard and the Gallatin News Examiner. She also runs her own food blog at mymostrequestedrecipes.com and is a frequent guest on Channel 5's Talk of the Town, including this Thursday.
This weekend, July 6-7, the Chef’s Market’s menu will feature Marko’s creations including her chicken Marsala, shepherds pie, rice pudding, Adult Mac and Cheese and a delicious salad featuring her famous candied bacon. Marko will also appear in the dining room to share her recipes and enthusiasm with diners.
So gas up the car and head up I-65 to try out Chef's Market. (It's really not that hard to find, just a mile or so from Rivergate Mall.)
