Fun and Games Figs Burn in Hell

This is one of my very favorite "huh?" verses in the Bible. It's a pretty straightforward translation from the Greek text, but it leaves me wondering: Did Jesus really disrespect the fig?? Or was he trying to say "hey, there are no figs on this tree 'cuz they're not in season; guess we'll never have figs to eat, boys!" It's very weird.
Love the photo a _lot_. Makes me want to make up a batch of stickers and put 'em on some Fig Newtons at the grocery store.
