You can always count on your friends at Amerigo on West End for a good, affordable wine dinner, and tomorrow they will not disappoint. Back by popular demand, they are hosting several chef and wine pairing dinners at both of their area locations featuring a dinner created by their chefs, paired with wine and/or cocktails.

To kick off this year's series, the West End location is hosting another Swine & Wine Dinner. Chef Hrant will create a four-course dinner utilizing locally raised pork. Each course is paired with a different wine, all for just $40 per person plus tax and gratuity.

Dinner starts at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, so call (615) 320-1740 to reserve your spot.

If day drinking is more of your style, West Meade Wine and Liquor Mart is continuing their weekly Wednesday wine tastings this afternoon from 3 to 6:30. This week they're opening two fantastic wines that they have on sale every day (except for Sunday, of course.) Visit their store at 5402 Harding Road near the split of highways 100 and 70 to try Trivento Reserve Malbec and Torrontes, which they sell for $9.99. These easy-drinking wines are perfect for buying by the case to keep at hand for just about any occasion. Or just for sipping on a Wednesday afternoon.

So drop by and say hello to Amos and the crew and take the edge off of your work day.
