Events Arnold Myint, Deb Paquette Team for Benefit; Cha Chah To Serve Patti Myint's Famed Salad

For this year's edition, Arnold will be teaming up with Nashville favorite Chef Debra Paquette to create two appetizers, two entrees and two desserts for A Fork Divided. Seatings at Cha Chah will start at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, for what promises to be a great evening of fun and food. Tickets are $75 and are available at the official event website. Chef Paquette may be a little scarce soon as she works to open her new restaurant, Echo at Encore later this year, so this might be your best chance to enjoy her cooking until then.
A member of the Nashville Originals, Arnold has been a strong proponent of the organization's Restaurant Week events. Rather than simply offering discounted versions of his regular menu as some other participants do, Arnold creates special menus at each of his three restaurants, Cha Chah, PM and Suzy Wong's House of Yum. No matter whether restaurants are discounting their normal menu or preparing something novel for Restaurant Week, seats will hopefully be scarce at your old and new favorites, so be sure to make reservations early.
But perhaps the most exciting thing that Arnold is doing for Restaurant Week at Cha Chah is an homage to his mother Patti Myint, owner of pioneering Asian restaurant International Market, which has been operating on Belmont Boulevard since the 1970s.
For that week only, Cha Chah (across the street from International Market) will be serving their version of Patti's famous House Salad, a 20-plus ingredient food fest that Carrington waxed rhapsodically about in the Scene a while back. This fully interactive feast requires a minimum of four people and whole table participation since there won't be room for anything else once they start piling on ramekins of peanuts, pineapple, basil, mint, chili peppers, tiny lime sections, kaffir lime leaf, cucumber cubes, diced carrots, pickled ginger, cross-sections of long bean, celery, garlic, pickled garlic, cilantro, rice noodles, chicken and beef for you to spoon into your individual lettuce wraps. Best of all, Cha Chah is offering this unique experience for only $20.12 per person, so find yourself three good friends who don't mind your boarding-house reach and make it a date.
