Four days after announcing it was closed "until further notice," The Silly Goose said today on its Facebook page that it plans to reopen tomorrow.

Friday's closure was a surprise, since business had always appeared brisk at the East Nashville restaurant, with patrons waiting in line to get in on many nights.

Today's Facebook post offered few details but assured the public that the restaurant will be back in business for lunch tomorrow (Tuesday, Dec. 20):

THE GOOSE IS LOOSE!! Back to biz tomorrow 12-20 at 11am! We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love & support. We can't wait to see you all!

With love & gratitude!

As of this writing, the post had generated 196 likes and 51 comments, a high social media response for a Nashville restaurant.

The Silly Goose, at 1888 Eastland Ave., was an instant hit with customers and critics after opening in 2009. Chef and co-founder Roderick Bailey trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., and worked as a private chef before opening the intimate dining spot.
