Neighbors of Sylvan Park has rapidly become a neighborhood favorite among west Nashvillians ever since Carrington first wrote about the clubby little pub earlier this fall. This Sunday, they're inviting some of their new and old friends to a party and you're on the guest list.

Ex-Titans Donnie Nickey and some of his friends like Zach Piller and Neil O'Donnell are hoping to be there starting at noon for a day of beer, booze and barbecue. In fact, that third "b" the real draw. Piller's Nolensville neighbor Pat Martin has agreed to drag his Hog Mahal smoking rig up to Neighbors and cook a whole hog. The plan is for the pig to be ready for pickin' at about noon on Sunday, Nov. 20.

The kick-off for the Titans/Falcons game has been moved out to 3:15 p.m., so there should be plenty of time to pregame at Neighbors before you head home to watch the tilt from the comfort of your own couch or on the big screen at the bar. Don't be afraid of space considerations, Neighbors has constructed a huge deck behind the restaurant, and parking should be more readily available than usual on a Sunday afternoon.

Martin's barbecue without having to schlep out to Nolensville? A bar full of fun folks and former Titans? Good food and good drinks? Sounds like a winner to me. Let's hope the Titans keep up their own winning ways.
