Las Maracas in Belle Meade Plaza, home of the chile poblano and popular Friday night spot, has taken on a new name: El Stuffed Pepper. The restaurant is open, but so far there's no phone number available. (The Las Maracas phone line is out of service.)

As always, if you go before Bites, report back.

Meanwhile, three doors down, Starbucks' windows are papered over while they renovate. I haven't lived near any of Starbucks' 600 store closures, so I turn to you readers to find out whether "renovating" really means "closing" for Starbucks, as has been the case with so many other businesses over the years.
