Take a Local Farm Tour With Next Alimentum Eat-and-Greet Event

A few months ago, I told you Paulette Licitra of Alimentum and Annakate Tefft planned to lead a culinary tour of Nolensville Road.

From all accounts the tour was a resounding success as the group visited international markets and restaurants up and down the strip. They sampled food at several restaurants, and much commerce was transacted as they learned about exotic foods and ingredients to use in their home kitchens.

Now Paulette and Annakate are headed for the country as they plan to lead another cadre of 10 culinary tourists on a trip to visit local artisan farmers and craftsmen. They will visit organic farmers, heirloom vegetable growers, goat farmers, cheese makers and even artisan dye makers on the tour.

A special secret lunch is being planned to showcase the best of our region's local products.

When: Sunday, Oct. 23, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What: Guided tour costs $95 per person, limit 10 people. Tour includes transportation (from group meeting point), lunch, the latest copy of Alimentum Journal, and fun times with fellow local foodies.

Where: Tour departs at 9:30 a.m. sharp (we’ve got a lot to cover!); meeting location TBD
