
First up is the Nashville Beer Festival, which will be held 1 to 6 p.m. Oct. 1 in Riverfront Park. In addition to the principal sponsor, Frugal MacDoogal, all four major local beer distributorships are on board as supporters. Attendees will be able to sample over 100 brews from more than 50 particpating brewers, including Boscos, Blackstone, Calfkiller, New Belgium, Brooklyn, Stoudt's, Chattanooga, Starr Hill, Caldera, Kona, Innis & Gunn, Red Hook, Ft. Collins, Widmer, Magic Hat, Butternuts, Atlanta, Bold City, Hat Trick, Nashvillion and Broadcast.
There will also be live musical entertainment throughout the festival. From the official website:
The Beer Fest promises to be a memorable event — great craft brew, fine food, beer girls, sports bar tents with football, games and contests, live music, beer schwag, vendors, cigar tent and more — a virtual bonanza for beer lovers.The $30 Beer Fest ticket includes the Beer Fest on Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m.; unlimited tastings of over 100 beers, many of them exclusive to the festival; the beer sampler pint glass; festivities; and the concert Saturday night.

The cork dorks at Midtown Wine and Spirits are the sponsors of this event, which will be limited to only 750 attendees. Musical fun will be provided by local horn band Halfbrass and food will be available from local vendors including Mr. Pink's current addiction, Jonbalaya, and 12 South Taproom.
