In my Food Biz column in this week's Nashville Post section of today's print edition of The City Paper, I checked in with Wendy Burch, co-owns Table 3 with Elise Loehr and chef Will Uhlhorn. (Burch and Loehr also own fine-dining staple F. Scott's nearby.)
I have more details in Food Biz, but here are some highlights: Table 3 Restaurant now has "and market" attached to he name, and while it may not be ready by the relaunch, it's an interesting addition: a separate market and cafe where people can pick up a cappuccino, a breakfast pastry or a sandwich, along with gourmet grocery items.
Table 3’s patio reopens, too, and over the next few weeks, Burch and team plan to install a high-tech, European-style awning that will be both heated and lighted, and retractable with the push of a button.
As for the restored dining room, Burch said it will be virtually identical to its appearance before the fire. The menu — which Burch described as “French comfort food prepared in the classic style” — won’t have changed much, either: Popular items like roast chicken, mussels and the croque monsieur sandwich are back. Wienerschnitzel, which had been a popular weekly special, has been promoted to full-time menu status. Another French classic, beef bourguignon, has been added to the menu as well.
Table 3 is at 3821 Green Hills Village Drive (739-6900), in a space nestled between the Mall at Green Hills and the Regal Green Hills movie theater.

Really glad Table 3 is coming back! Roast chicken and beef bourguignon sounds pretty amazing for this upcoming fall weather we're about to have!
