Restaurants Amerigo Wants to Help You Out for Valentine's Day

Luckily, many places around town are offering Valentine's menus all weekend long from this Friday, Feb. 11, to Monday, Feb. 14. Of course, if your sweetie wants four dates out of one Hallmark holiday, I hope you won all your Super Bowl bets, because that could start to add up.
At least Amerigo on West End and in Cool Springs are making it easy for you to budget with a $35 prix-fixe dinner Friday through Monday. An extra $15 per person gets you wine pairings with all three courses. The menu also offers choices so that you don't have to have the same meal as your dining companion with the option of a Roasted Beet Salad or a Caesar, chicken, steak or sweet potato gnocchi as a main course and dark chocolate gelato or strawberry tiramisu for dessert.
As I always say, any meal that starts with prosecco and ends with a tawny port has potential to be a happy occasion, so at least you've got that going for you. If you're looking for a bargain and a great meal at the same time, (and your date isn't a huge fan of sliders), Amerigo might just be your luogo di amore.
