Thursday, Feb. 10, 6 p.m. at 360 Bistro — tasting of Benziger wines with Mike Benziger — $15 plus tax and gratuity

As an aside, I haven't been out to Bistro 360 in awhile, but I hear that Chef Sal Avila has really stepped up the game there, and some really fine food is coming out of that kitchen. Stay after the tasting for dinner and report back here.
Grace's Wine and Spirits also has two events to share with you.
On Feb. 9, they are hosting a Cliff Creek Cellars tasting at Macke's on the second floor of Grace's Plaza, pretty much right above the wine shop. They invite you to join them from 5:30-7:30 p.m. to taste Cliff Creek's Oregonian versions of big and traditional style French wines.
$20 per person.
RSVP to Macke's at 292-3838
Grace's is also a sponsor of the seventh annual Heart & Soul event on Feb. 19 from 7 to 11p.m. at The Lofts at Werthan Mills in Historic Germantown. The event benefits the American Heart Association and costs $50 in advance and $65 at the door. Taste wines from around the globe while exploring the Lofts at Werthan Mills.

Woodland Wine Merchant has a more casual tasting coming up in about a week at Margot. Winemakers from Domaine Depeuble, Domaine Fontsainte, Chateau La Roque and Chateau Fontanes from France will be in town Saturday, Feb. 12, to pour their wines. Domaine Depeuble makes wonderful traditional Beaujolais while Fontsainte, La Roque, Fontanes will be pouring wines from various appellations in the Languedoc region. The winemakers are represented by Kermit Lynch in the U.S., and their wines are favorites for many of Woodland's customers and staff. They invite you to come down to Margot anytime from 1 to 3 p.m., meet the winemakers and try some great wines along with a few snacks from the Margot kitchen.
