It’s time to get your pork on at Amerigo West End’s Wine & Swine Dinner on Jan. 20 starting at 6:30pm. Chef Hrant has created a four-course menu featuring locally raised Berkshire pork for a special chef and sommelier pairing. Check out this menu:

First Course:
Cicciloi (Italian Pate), served with orange-cured olives, pickled fennel and garlic toast. Paired with Callalbrigio Sparkling Rose.

Second Course:
Pizza of pork belly, with garbanzo beans, roasted chilies and a fried egg.
Paired with Nero d’Avola.

Third Course:
Pork Short Ribs with Gorgonzola polenta fries and grape tomato mosto.
Paired with Donna Tageto.

Final Course:
Almond & orange ricotta fritter, paired with 4 Roses chocolate-and-bacon-infused bourbon, with brown sugar simple syrup and Fei Brothers orange bitters.

If I’ve learned anything in my years as a gourmand, it’s that everything’s better with a fried egg on it. I look forward to comparing that belly pizza with City House’s version.

Limited Reservations available by calling Ali Gensert at (615) 298-2986.
$25 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
