There are career to-do lists (get job), home-n-hearth to-do lists (fix bathroom, paint entryway) and a food to-do list that I put together based on one at egullet.com.
I will eat ... less sugar.
I will make ... duck more often.
I will read ... Four Fish by Paul Greenberg, "a necessary book for anyone truly interested in what we take from the sea to eat, and how, and why," according to the New York Times Book Review, and Charcuterie: The Craft of Salting, Smoking, and Curing by Michael Ruhlman.
I will learn ... charcuterie along with Charcutepalooza.
Moderately ambitious goals, but mostly achievable. I'm pretty stoked about charcuterie — it's the last kitchen DIY frontier for me. Well, besides cheesemaking, but I'm saving that for next year.
What's your eat, read, make, learn list for the next 11-and-a-half months?
