By now you've probably heard about the fire that struck Green Hills restaurant Table 3 around 5 a.m. today. It was contained fairly quickly, but damage was heavy. The French-inspired bistro, which is a sister to fine-dining staple F. Scott's, is closed and will remain shuttered for weeks of cleanup and repair.
This is a blow to the dining scene (for a reminder, check out Carrington Fox's rave review of Table 3 from November), but more importantly, it's a life-wrenching blow to the approximately 75 employees who are left without jobs.
One of Table 3's owners, Elise Loehr, issued an appeal to the restaurant community:
"Table 3 suffered a major fire this early morning. Fortunately, no one was there and no one was hurt, however, it will take many weeks to repair and rebuild, Meanwhile, I have a crew of good people, both front and back of house, that will need jobs immediately. Please let me know if you have any suggestions," Loehr said in an email sent to media and people in the restaurant business earlier today.
Bitesters, if you know of any job vacancies or other suggestions to help these jobless folks, send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
