I've written in the past how much I enjoy reading Willis' personal blog, Elevated Southern, and this week it brings the news that he is actually going to take the blog's title literally. After several years leading the kitchen at Macke's, Chef Willis is elevating his toque a couple hundred feet up in the air, to the 20th floor at Fourth and Church where resides the Nashville City Club. He will take over as executive chef starting Dec. 1.
The members of the private club will enjoy Willis' unique talents as he oversees the kitchen, which prepares lunch and dinner in the grill room and private dining rooms, as well as catering weddings and other special events. I guess the rest of us will just have to work to get ourselves invited to dinner by a member.
