Wine Wednesday: Wining for the Cause at Amerigo

Posted By on Wed, Oct 6, 2010 at 9:52 AM

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Amerigo has partnered with ONEHOPE Wines to feature their ONEHOPE Chardonnay until the end of the month. For each bottle of ONEHOPE sold, 50% of the profits are donated to their charitable foundation, which then distributes the money among several worthy charities. The Chard benefits breast cancer research, while the Cabernet Sauvignon proceeds go to ACT Today! for Autism Awareness.

ONEHOPE wine is not a just novelty brand, either. The collection is handcrafted in Napa by a winemaker named Robert Mondavi Jr. Perhaps you've heard of his dad. Amerigo is offering both wines for $7.50 a glass and $28 per bottle at their West End and Cool Springs locations. If you'd like to taste through the entire ONEHOPE catalog, for just $15 you can sample the Chardonnay and the Cabernet Sauvignon as well as their Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot at the West End Amerigo on Oct. 13 and in Cool Springs on Oct. 19. Both tastings will run from 6 to 8 p.m.

Amerigo employees, friends and family will also be putting their sneakers where their mouths are by participating in the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk" on Oct. 30. If you'd like more information about how to become involved with Team Amerigo's fundraising efforts, please contact Ali Gensert at (615) 298-2986.
