On the charity front, Nashville RBI is hosting Fifth Annual Grapevines Wine Tasting from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at Sambuca restaurant.
Nashville RBI, which provides inner-city youth the opportunity to participate in free baseball and softball leagues, is presenting this fundraiser, which will feature an assortment of wines from around the world, silent and live auction items, and live music.
“This fundraiser will let us continue to provide the equipment, uniforms and staff for the more than 900 kids who play in our leagues, in addition to sending kids to the regional RBI tournament,” said Reggie Whittemore, executive director of Nashville RBI. “Nashville RBI would not exist without events like our annual wine tasting.”
Tickets are $75, and all proceeds from the wine tasting benefit Nashville RBI.
