Next week, Chef Myint moves from the bar to the kitchen to prepare a five-course tasting menu at ChaChah for a select group of patrons who sign up for the the SoleFood Nashville dinners.
Your $75 per person also gets you matching wines provided by co-sponsors Horizon Wine and Spirits, and $50 of your dinner is tax-deductible as a benefit for the Soles4Souls program, a Nashville-based charity that collects shoes from everyone from huge footwear manufacturers to the closets of individual donors. (Well, not my girlfriend's closet. If you tried to take anything from there, you'd pull back a nub.) The charity distributes these shoes free of charge to people in need, regardless of race, religion, class or any other criteria. Since 2005, Soles4Souls has given away over 10 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes.
The event will be held Aug. 19 with seatings at 6, 7:30 and 9 p.m. The maximum occupancy per seating is 48 people. Reservations are strongly recommended, and walk-in guests will be accommodated based on availability.
