Bites Weekly Open Thread Needs Pot ...

... racks. And it's been a multi-year internetz search for the right ones.

The ceiling-hung pot rack is just not working in its spot, and there's no other spot for it. It's a long story but it must be replaced with a wall-mount rack. Whose profile is no deeper than about 6 inches.

The $1,400 pot rack in question

A wall-mount, nearly flush, heavy-duty pot rack seems like a tall order but conventional wisdom says you can get anything, anything, on the Innertubez. After my search, I would add "for a price."

Here's the only one that fits. Fits perfectly — and is priced at $1,400.

WTF? If I had $1,400 to spend on a single kitchen item, it'd be an appliance, like maybe the carbon-fiber-handled Czech fridge. Or hey, I'd have a pot rack custom built. Or, like, move the wall.

This week, Open Thread is feeling grumpy and broke. What about you? Share good news or gripes here.
