We Always Knew Nashville Was a Good Drinking Town — Now National Magazines Agree

Two of Nashville's best watering holes received good news this weekend that they have been recognized for excellence by prominent periodicals.

First off, neo-speakeasy the Patterson House has been named one of the Top 10 new cocktail bars in the country by Bon Appétit Magazine. Confirming what many have already believed (but not without a little controversy), Bon Appétit sums up TPH's allure succinctly:

A bucketful of longnecks by the jukebox is a standard night out in Nashville, but for a change of pace — and a Pimm's Cup or a tequila-based El Diablo, for example—in a swanky setting, head to this Music Row speakeasy.

A possibly even more prestigious accolade was awarded to west Nashville's 360 Bistro by Wine Spectator Magazine. In their annual Restaurant Awards, the magazine recognized 360 Bistro for their "well-chosen selection of quality producers" and bestowed an Award of Excellence. That's definitely a pretty big deal for a small wine bar in a strip mall.

Congratulations to them both. Drop by and offer your felicitations in person.
