Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., B&C is selling from under a tented area in front of the entrance to the Market House. Serving hot pulled pork and barbecue chicken that has been cooked at their Melrose location as well as brisket on Tuesday and Friday, B&C recognizes that there are a bunch of hungry folks visiting the Farmers' Market in search of heirlooms and greens. And these folks aren't going to get fed on the incense, fake Vuarnets and Tupac tribute T-shirts being sold in the other shed, so I'm glad that B&C has stepped up. Drop by for lunch sometime soon and thank them for their persistence in the face of bureaucratic obstacles.
Seriously, after at least three location changes since their first opening over a decade ago, it will be nice to see the Pig and Pie set their hooves and pie pans in one place for awhile. We'll let you know when we see the OPEN sign on the front door. (Unless Lesley scoops us again ...)
