For Sale, a Hap Townes Menu with an Autograph

Wa-hey eaters and eatresses! I'm back, with more tidbits and noshes.

Remember the discussion back in February about Hap Townes, the restaurant (run by a guy named Hap Townes) where Gabby's is currently located? It's a place that stirs nostalgia in longtime Nashvillians, and a bit of its history is for sale.

It's an old Hap Townes menu. Now, as a menu collector myself, I can see the interest. And there are plenty of other Nashvillians who would pay for an old Hap's menu. But how about one signed by Faron Young?

How much more Nashville does it get? None, people. None more Nashville.

Yay! Nicki's back! (Not to be confused with Nickelback.) You were greatly missed, Nicki.

In my memory, I have a hard time distinguishing Hap Townes from the old Pie Wagon. Pretty much all I remember is that people were seated pretty much elbow to elbow.

Know what I've been missing lately? The old Varallo's at 9th and Church. I could go for a three-way ... ahem.
