Middle Tennesseean diners have got some choices to make coming up on July 13. Not only is that the date of Major League Baseball's All-Star Game, but we already told you about a bunch of chef all-stars cooking at the Cannery as a benefit for Nashville's Mobile Loaves and Fishes Inc. and the Community Resource Center. Now there's another attractive option planned for Franklin's Red Pony Restaurant, as Chef Jason McConnell is creating a peach-themed dinner for that same night.

From the invite:

McConnell sources his peaches from Reed's Produce, a produce stand that boasts fresh fruits from all over the Southeast, including local Tennessee products. The three-course event begins with delicious passed appetizers inspired by the fruit, followed by courses featuring the full spectrum of peach flavors. A reception begins at 6:30 p.m., and dinner starts at 7 p.m. The meal, including wine pairings costs $55 per person, excluding tax and gratuity.

THE EVENING'S MENU

Passed Hors D'oeuvres
Vidalia Onion & Peach Tartlets
Grilled Shrimp Salad with BBQ Peaches

First Course
Peach and Scallop Carpaccio with Sea Salt & Herbs

Second Course
Two for 1
Slow Cooked Banana Leaf Pork with Peach Confit
Spice Rubbed Pork Belly with Blue Cheese Roasted Peaches

Third Course
Peach Cobbler with Cornmeal Biscuit & Buttermilk Ice Cream
