It's a busy couple of weeks coming up in the Nashville wine tasting scene, but no event is bigger than this year's edition of l’Eté du Vin. Despite having their planned venue washed out from under them as the Cumberland crested somewhere around the second floor of the Gaylord Opryland Resort, those plucky kids at www.nashvillewineauction.com have decided to switch gears and put on a show anyway. Here are the details straight from the wino's mouth:

The time has come to make your 2010 l’Eté du Vin reservations. Our sincere thanks to all of you who have already made your reservation for the 2010 events and shown your support despite the changes Mother Nature forced upon us. To those that have been putting off the phone call (615.329.1760) or visit to www.nashvillewineauction.com, I urge you to wait no longer. Our fantastic line-up of events are filling up quickly and space is even more limited than in previous years. To recap, here are the events taking place over the June 16th - 19th weekend.

The l’Eté du Vin Guest of Honor Dinners
Saturday, June 19, 2010
$75 per person
Our fantastic local restaurants as well as the Guests of Honor have graciously offered to host these very special, very limited, Guest of Honor Dinners on the night that was to be the l’Eté du Vin Auction. Each restaurant is preparing a fantastic three course meal created especially for the wines of their respective Guest. The Auction has been rescheduled for August 28, 2010, but these wonderful dinners are filling up fast. In fact, one restaurant has only two seats remaining!

Casa Lapostolle is being hosted by Red Pony.
L'Aventure Winery is being hosted by F. Scott's Restaurant & Jazz Bar.
Möet et Chandon is being hosted by Sunset Grill.
Morlet Family Vineyards is being hosted by 360 Bistro.
Torbreck Vintners is being hosted by Watermark Restaurant

After seeing what's being poured at the Vintners' Tasting, I've already made my reservations. Since I live on the same street as Sunset Grill and within staggering distance home, there's nothing that could keep me from a Möet et Chandon dinner. And most probably a wicked hangover the next morning...
