Our sister paper NashvillePost.com today reports on a lawsuit against chocolatier Olive & Sinclair by a former employee.
David Sellers (who, in the interest of full disclosure, worked many years ago for the Scene) claimed he worked for the company without pay for a year with the understanding that he would be taken on as a partner by chef-owner Scott Witherow. That didn't happen, and Sellers and O&S parted ways in late 2009.
Olive & Sinclair chocolate has become a hit with foodies (including actress/blogger Gwyneth Paltrow) since it went on sale last year. The artisan chocolate bars come in a variety of flavors, often with novel ingredients like sea salt, pepper and Bongo Java coffee adding texture and interest. The company is located in East Nashville's Riverside Village.
