Lawdamighty, after a successful run in several test markets KFC has announced that starting today their Double Down Sandwich will go into wide (heh) release. What is this monstrosity? Try two boneless white meat chicken fillets, two pieces of bacon, two melted slices of Monterey Jack and pepper jack cheese and Colonel's Sauce,whatever the hell that is. Set aside 540 calories and 32 grams of fat in your daily intake if you decide to snack on one of these bad boys.

Pricing has not been established, but the Double Down sold for about seven bucks in the test markets. If you're brave enough to try one, please report back here at Bites.
