The folks behind Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant, which has been serving up Southern food and live music for years in Leiper's Fork and downtown Franklin, announced today that they will be opening a third location in downtown Nashville sometime this fall.
Puckett's was founded as a grocery store in Leiper's Fork in the 1950s. Andy Marshall bought it in 1998, and eventually added dinner and live performances from singer-songwriters. Marshall opened a high-profile second location in downtown Franklin a few years later.
The Leiper's Fork location is now in the hands of another entrepreneur, Rob Robinson and his family, and Marshall and his family will have two locations, the downtown Franklin cafe and the new one at 500 Church St. in Nashville, according to Marshall's release.
More information on Puckett's, including music schedules and menus, is available at www.puckettsgrocery.com.

Great move. Puckett's will be a nice local addition to downtown.
Good luck on your first pass through the history nut commission. If that address is not under their wise leadership I imagine it was an inadvertent mistake and will be corrected shortly. Can't have businesses making profits all willy-nilly while old buildings are suffering.
