After weeks of rumors about who would buy the pioneering 12South restaurant Mirror -- now that co-owners Colleen and Michael DeGregory are leaving the business -- Hospitality Development Group (which owns Watermark and Miro District) announced that it has bought the restaurant.
The third partner in Mirror, restaurateur Rick Bolsom, also confirmed the sale.
Jerry Brown, the head of Hospitality Development Group, released this brief statement late Friday afternoon:
"I am pleased to announce that Hospitality Development Group has acquired The Mirror restaurant in the 12South district. Our team is delighted to become a part of one of Nashville's most vibrant communities, and we look forward to sharing details about the relaunch of a casual neighborhood eatery in the coming months."
Keep checking Bites as we post more details as they become available.

Yahoo, let's hope this high end group keeps it's prices the same as Mirror. We welcome a new player in the restaurant scene in the 12South/Belmont area!
Are you kidding? Watermark and Miro cater to snobby people. They will rip Mirror into pieces and will never be able to compete with Mafiaozas or any other 12th South area restaurant.

I will surely miss Mirror and all the great folks there. PLEASE consider keeping the fried green tomatoes, fish and chips, and grilled cheese dishes. And the tasty cocktails! We love cocktails, even with a low-key meal.
Hey I still have a $50 Mirror gift cert. from Nashville Originals that I sadly never got to use before they closed...think the new owners will honor it? :)
Ryan- If you want to use it here, I will accept it at Germantown Cafe or Allium for you...
Wow, that Jerry Brown gets around. I remember when he was governor of California and dating Linda Ronstadt. I thought Nashville's time travel back to the 70s of LA was just musical rehashing!
I kid...kinda.
Oh, wow. That's really generous of Chris. I have to say, I've been reluctant to buy too many gift certificates and groupons these days because it's hard to know if a place is still going to be in business by the time I get to use one. Tough times for restaurants these days...
Well, it's not super generous. Ryan has always spoken highly of Germantown Cafe and has been a guest from quite some time. This is just a way of saying thanks!
(and that's the diplomatic way that I say that I am not going to take ALL of the unredeemed Mirror certificates.) 8^)
