The Wine Chap in Belle Meade is first with the news of a special Von Schleinitz Wine Dinner at Miel at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb, 18. This is a great opportunity to try some German wines from the Von Schleinitz winery, which is located in the Mosel region.The winemaker, Konrad Haehn, will be present to guide you through the wines, which will be matched with a menu from the very talented kitchen at Miel.

We told you a few weeks back about the "Heart and Soul" benefit event for the American Heart Association at Werthen Lofts. Mother Nature dealt them a cruel kick in the teeth last weekend, but luckily the date of the event has been changed. If you're interested, check your calendar for Feb. 20 from 7 to 11 p.m..
Tickets are $35 per person in advance and $50 per person on the day of the event, so buy your tickets early.
