The weekly open thread is usually about words but this week, we take a photographic approach to Nashville restaurants with images from Flickr.
Starting with bar photos from various Nashville photo pools on Flickr here
And this black-and-white bar shot from Christmas Eve.
This pretty January wedding cake doubtless was the talk of the wedding.
Reflective shot of the Peanut Shop in the Arcade.
A beer sign in Germantown. Funny how this sign is right on the road to Metrocenter and never really stood out before.
Nashville's teensy street food scene, documented here.
Finally, this spectacular image of Marche's interior, from Kelly Stewart, who once lived down the street from me, in that strange Nashville coincidence way.
Point Bites to more great photos of Nashville eats, or throw in your Valentine's Day plans, or get on a soapbox: the Open Thread is a box of chocolates.

So what's up with La Hacienda on Nolensville at Joyner? Closed, or just remodeling?
How about some picks for Valentines Day weekend meals? 1808 Grille? Bricktops? Red Pony?
We updated the La Hacienda situation in a couple of other posts somewhere, but here it is again. They had a fairly significant grease fire right before Xmas that they've spent over a month rebuilding from.
Hopefully they'll be back sooner than later.
I called La Hacienda last weekend hoping they were reopenned but they said it would probably be another 2-3 weeks. I can't wait.
Went to Smilling Elephant for lunch today for the first time. What a treat. It will become a regular lunch hangout, for sure. Had the green curry. Outstanding. If you haven't been, you've got to give it a try.
Pad Thai is unlike any other in Nashville. Made me like Pad Thai again. I would buy the Lemongrass tea by the gallon. What a fantastic addition to Nashville and especially the 8th Ave.S corridor. Thank you Smiling Elephant!
Doth anyone knows where to buy Rabbit?
The weather is turning cold again, and I long for the aroma of "Conejo a la cazuela" (Basque-style Rabbit) permeating my kitchen
elzorro, go by and see John P. in the meat/butcher section at the Harris Teeter on 21st. I know in the past he has had or can get Rabbit.
Did anyone else see that Sky Blue Coffee and Bistro is up for sale for 8000$, including equipment? It's not a typo. That's the real price. Kara said she has 3 appointment a day for people making offers right now.
El Zorro, I always got rabbit from a Clarksville farmer, but it's a been a while. Mostly I buy the rabbit fryer pieces from the Kroger freezer. They seem to work fine in French rabbit braise and the Silver Palate's Rabbit in Chartreuse (but the meat doesn't have as much flavor).
Your Coneja a la Cazuela intrigues me -- share the recipe?
