Pogo, you have excellent taste in food. Canned peas are too yucky to even exist, and last night we had roasted parsnips. Manhattan is my drink of choice, and I'm a semi-regular at the Golden Coat buffet.
Now I want to focus on jamiealex's claim that homemade butter is more economical. I love making butter -- it's the same thrill as making bread -- but have always assumed it cost more to make it than buy it. Anyone else with experience in the economics of butter-making?
FYI to Pogo, Nicki and any other Manhattan lovers, Mr. Martini (David Paine) is giving a Manhattan clinic at Dose next to Grand Cru today from 3:00-4:30.
Cheers!
