Carrington and I have discussed the way that Carothers Parkway in Cool Springs has become an unlikely and very welcome food node, dense with good eats.
Dan McGuinness Pub is one of these. If you know Dan McGuinness on the roundabout in Nashville, it's a dark, cozy, slightly smoky bar, a real bar, full of interesting people, or at least interesting-looking and beers that beer-lovers love. The Cool Springs location is like that also, which is welcome change from the surrounding clean, brightly lit places (to paraphrase Hemingway). I love the place, and go several times a year with Franklin-based friends for a few rounds of rummy, a couple of beers and McGuinness's exceptional potato soup and massive reuben sandwich.
It's a fun place to be, and seems like a great place to work. And now is your chance. According to this craigslist posting, Dan McGuinness is hiring an experienced server. If you know about this job -- or have it, or get it -- check in with Bites.
