Fine Cooking magazine asks contributors to fill out a foodie quiz so readers can get to know the writers. The answers go with a photo on the "Contributors" page. The magazine currently headed for newsstands (February/March 2010) features a few of my own humble answers along with those of food world giants like Deborah Madison (The Greens Cookbook, The Savory Way) and wine wildman Gary Vaynerchuk.

Typically of the magazine, the questions are thoughtful and worth answering. Even if you know yourself well, some questions may make you pause.

Settle in with a cup of tea and and take the first half of it. Report back.

For most overrated food, I answered "pine nuts." For "strangest thing," it'd be hard to pin that down, but I adore Chinese stewed chicken feet and eat them every time I find them.
