This week's dining column features The Perch, a cozy crêperie at the intersection of Franklin Pike and Old Hickory Boulevard. Owners Heather Chandler and John Kressaty have established a quirky mini-empire with the coffee house, as well as The Skinbar boutique and a small cosmetics lab, under one roof. And while it all seems like an incongruous combination (Aren't all brainwashed to believe chocolate gives us pimples?), the underlying focus on fresh ingredients and healthy living makes the disparate businesses come together nicely.

In the spirit of that unexpected mash-up, what other seemingly mismatched businesses would you like to combine?

My neighbor is a regular at Skinbar and says it's absolutely the best.
